I think you're an absolute sweetheart, an all-around cutie-patootie, and an amazing artist. You've a sharp wit, and I like that. You're a wonderful person, and people say nice things about you. I sure do.
You're super sweet and amazing, I wish we hadn't stopped talking as soon as the goblin fad passed but that's kind of the theme in my life, I guess! I'm glad you're on tumblr and GW2 so I can continue to stalk you.
I KNOW YOU.
Oh man! I wish we hadn’t stopped talking either, I couldn’t really say what happened there but it was probably my typical ‘hrrnn no they don’t want to talk to me’ toe-scuffing when it comes to harassing folks for conversation. I’ll endeavor to bother you more in the future! ♥
Thank you for the nice words, too. GW2 is gonna be awesoooome should totally knock horns there at launch!
So we had these neighbors move in about a month or two ago. They must LARP Wrestlemania or something in their living room because they are constantly stomping around all over the fucking place, especially at three or four in the morning. And not just “I’m going to work and must wear heavy boots”…
Oh my god. People like this make me wish I had a Big Red Button to push after bringing their name up on screen. >:I I’m so not even like in control of myself either, I’d have taken the dog. Oops, you left it outside? Your own damn fault, you pieces of shit.
I do not handle animal neglect well at all. I hope they get what’s coming to them.
I finally gave in and decided I should probably have a blog that’s only artwork, both so people who don’t want to deal with my personal shit/fan stuff can have a place to view it, and so I don’t feel so guilty about not uploading artwork to my tumblr enough. Not sure that last part will be resolved but HEY. I’M DOIN’ THIS FOR YOU GUYS.
I think I found a potential art thief/tracer. Problem is, this person probably has more White Knights than the Scarlet Monastery. The other problem is I don’t have enough proof save for one picture. And this isn’t the first time someone else has brought up the idea that this person is a…
Yikes, tracing is such a hard thing to deal with. Is it your art that you suspect them to be tracing? I wouldn’t call them out until you had pretty undeniable evidence against them, personally.
It’s kind of a weird topic for me because I know when I was younger (this was like.. 8-10 years ago) I used to print out pictures and trace them on paper for practice. I did it mainly to help myself understand how certain parts of the face were shaped, etc. Of course I never posted them as like ‘THIS IS MY ART, ALL LOVE ME AND DISPAIR’ about it, so yeah if it’s very clearly traced and you have the original picture and they aren’t crediting it even as a reference (if they come back and say they just eyeballed it) then I think that is where the problem is.
A lot of young artists too I think get it in their heads that not showing where they got the idea / reference from makes them look like better artists so it could just be a lesson of letting them know that giving credit where it’s due will only bump them up in terms of respect and NOT crediting will lose respect like no tomorroah.
That moment when I realize digital/speed-painting just isn’t for me and I’ll stick to my half-cocked illustrating/weeabo art style (even though I’m never happy with it). Poured over tutorials and just blankly stared at my screen with something I’m not even remotely impressed with.
*crumbles up canvas* Fuck it.
Aw. I felt that way when I first started trying to do the digital painting thing; I personally think your art style is great, I love that you can be so expressive with it and your lineart is always so smooth and pretty!
If you ever get the itch again, remind me to show you some of my first attempts. This isn’t in like a ‘WELL YOU TOO CAN BE LIKE ME’ sort of meaning but more in the sense that like.. sometimes seeing the first steps of someone else’s attempts can help you not feel so bad about your own? Maybe? Am I being arrogant? I don’t know. THE OFFER IS THERE, NONETHELESS. ♥
